The Hub:Making the Most of Innovation

October 17, 2012

With the transition to modern design, universities have begun incorporating new innovative ideas with architectural refinement. The University of Washington, known for its beautiful architecture and city-like atmosphere, has begun to take a modern approach. With the creation of new dorms, buildings, and now the reconstruction of The Hub, UW has combined traditional style architecture with modern design.

The renovation of the Hub has gained popularity amongst the students. Not only is it a great place to grab something to eat, but it combines the simplicity of home with that of college life. There are multiple seating arrangements to sit back and relax in while doing homework. If homework is not on the agenda feel free to chat it up with friends and enjoy the coziness of the fire. If hungry, stroll downstairs and get a bit to eat to subdue the stress of classes, tests, and homework. The Hub, which is now open to the public, gives UW students the chance to be part of a modern culture, while still enjoying the traditional style of the campus.
